The Future of the Field

While times have changed since
I was last in the world of academia, it is refreshing to
see that the field I chose is still considered to be a good
choice for the today's younger generations. I recently read
an article that said that in the technology sector, computer
software engineer careers are expected to grow by 48% through
2014.

It is rewarding to see that my fellow developers have laid
a solid foundation and have created an environment that
is attractive to new prospects. ComponentOne's plans for
2013 and beyond will continue to strengthen this foundation.
As the computer software field continues to grow, so too
will the technology software developers use to create the
software programs of the future.
ComponentOne's extended 2013 v1 WinRT product line and
support for HTML5 and touch interfaces hint at things to
come. Our offerings will evolve to provide the developers
of today and tomorrow the tools they need not only to enhance
their applications, but to save them time and effort. For
example,
our new SpreadJS brings Excel's power and ease-of-use
to HTML5 developers. Plus,
the latest version
of Wijmo makes it a breeze to target mobile devices in addition
to the desktop.

The New Spread Studio for .NET is Here!

ComponentOne is proud to announce the release of the
new
Spread Studio for .NET, the ultimate cross-platform
spreadsheet toolkit for application development. This
new suite of tools includes all of the components in
Spread 7 for WinForms,
Spread 7 for ASP.NET,
Spread for WPF-Silverlight, and
Spread for WinRT. Now that they are together in
one package, you may extend your Spread applications' reach
into the new frontier of Windows platforms, including the
Windows 8 Store.

The new versions of the Spread.NET controls, Spread 7 for
WinForms and Spread 7 for ASP.NET are now licensed separately,
and include all of the components in the Professional version
of Spread.NET 6 for each respective platform. Customers
who have current maintenance subscriptions for either the
Standard or Professional license for Spread.NET 6 will receive
free license version 7 key for both platforms. Plus, special
upgrade pricing is available for registered licensees of
version 6 and earlier versions of Spread for Windows Forms
and Spread for ASP.NET.

ActiveReports 7 brings more controls,
customization, and page layouts. Plus, it now
includes tables and matrices (features familiar
to Data Dynamics Reports users)! The latest
release, ActiveReports 7 SP1, introduces a
highly aniticipated WPF Report
Viewer and a new PDF/A export option for report
archiving. Report migration is now even more
seamless.

|
Introducing
Wijmo Enterprise 2013 v1, the only product
for creating both Mobile and Desktop applications
